Proper planning and efficient management of logistics activities can greatly reduce an organization's operating costs. For this reason, in recent decades, improving logistics processes has been used by successful organizations as a key criterion for reducing costs at inter-firm levels. One of the institutions active in the field of improving business processes and logistics is the GS1 global organization.
