The mission of the Journal of Trade Studies (JTS), a scholarly quarterly affiliated with The Institute for Trade Studies and Research (ITSR), is to strengthen the scientific foundations of policymaking and enhance the quality of decision-making in domestic and international trade through the development of theoretical and analytical frameworks, the identification of practical problems, policy evaluation, and the provision of solutions grounded in data and research evidence. Drawing on interdisciplinary approaches and advanced methods, the Journal seeks to direct research towards addressing knowledge needs and overcoming policymaking bottlenecks, and to contribute to the advancement of specialised knowledge among researchers, experts, managers, and policymakers. Strengthening the link between research and practice, fostering interaction among domestic and international researchers, and collaborating with universities and research centres underpin this mission. According to the latest assessment by Iran’s Ministry of Science, Research and Technology, the Journal has been ranked Q1.
